What is the Newspaper?

The Newspaper is the only national newspaper for 8 to 14 year old children designed for the classroom. It is produced by a small team of ex-teachers and journalists.
It was first published in April 2000 and has been delivered to schools every half term since. Over a thousand UK schools currently subscribe.

A Valuable teaching resource
The Newspaper is a valuable teaching resource that supports key areas of the school curriculum. It is used actively in the classroom to support the teaching of English, Literacy, Citizenship and PSHE. It appeals to both reluctant readers and the gifted and talented.

Editorial policy
The Newspaper is written in plain English. Our editorial policy is to:
- Encourage reading, engage children and foster discussion.
- Promote awareness of current affairs.
- Create opportunities for children to voice their opinions.
