What is the Newspaper?

The Newspaper is the only national newspaper for 8 to 14 year old children designed for the classroom. It was launched in April 2000 by three teachers and a journalist and is published six times a year - once each half term. It is available by subscription.
A Valuable teaching resource
The Newspaper is a valuable teaching resource that supports key areas of the school curriculum. It is used actively in the classroom to support the teaching of English, Literacy, Citizenship and PSHE. It appeals to both reluctant readers and the gifted and talented.

Editorial policy
The Newspaper is written in plain English. Our editorial policy is to:
- Encourage reading, engage children and foster discussion.
- Promote awareness of current affairs.
- Create opportunities for children to voice their opinions.
